Steel Grinder/Finisher

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Grinder / Finisher to join their team. This hands-on role involves working across a variety of residential, commercial, and structural projects throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.
You will be responsible for restoring, grinding, sanding, and refinishing steel surfaces to a high standard, helping to bring structural steelwork and stainless-steel surfaces back to excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Grinding and finishing structural steel, posts, handrails, and other steel components
• Sanding stainless steel surfaces to remove scratches, graffiti, and imperfections.
• Grinding and cleaning welds to achieve a quality finish
• Preparing steel surfaces for touch-up painting and refinishing.
• Manually applying paint and touch-ups using a brush to restore and protect steel surfaces.
• Working on residential homes, commercial buildings, verandas, and other construction projects.
• Using power tools and equipment supplied by the client
• Travelling to various job sites across Sydney Metro as required.

About You

• Previous experience as a Grinder, Finisher, Trade Assistant, Metal Worker, or similar.
• Confident using grinders, sanders, and related hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• White Card preferred.
• Driver’s licence and reliable transport highly regarded.
