Our client in Penrith is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join their growing team. If you enjoy working with metal, following blueprints, and creating high-quality parts, this role could be perfect for you.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal parts
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Choose the right tools and materials for each job
- Measure and check finished parts for accuracy
- Adjust machines to maintain quality standards
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Keep your work area safe and clean
- Work with the team to meet production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Sheet Metal Trade Certificate
- Experience with press brakes or similar machinery
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools
- Basic math and mechanical skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to stand for long periods
- Lift and move materials as needed
Work Environment
- Manufacturing or fabrication shop
- Exposure to noise, metal dust, and machinery
What’s On Offer
- $34/hr + Super
- 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday
- Temp-to-perm opportunity
