Our client in Penrith is seeking a Grinding Hand to join their growing manufacturing team. If you have experience working with metal components, take pride in producing quality finishes, and enjoy hands-on work in a workshop environment, this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Operate grinding machines and hand-held grinding equipment
- Grind, deburr, polish, and finish metal components to specification
- Read and follow drawings, work instructions, and production requirements
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Use measuring tools to check dimensions and surface finishes
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report equipment issues
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and targets
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Grinding Hand, Metal Finisher, or similar manufacturing role
- Experience using grinders, linishers, and other finishing equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
- Able to lift and move materials as required
Work Environment
- Manufacturing or fabrication workshop
- Exposure to noise, metal dust, sparks, and machinery
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required

- 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday
