Grinding Hand

Our client in Penrith is seeking a Grinding Hand to join their growing manufacturing team. If you have experience working with metal components, take pride in producing quality finishes, and enjoy hands-on work in a workshop environment, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Do

• Operate grinding machines and hand-held grinding equipment
• Grind, deburr, polish, and finish metal components to specification
• Read and follow drawings, work instructions, and production requirements
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Use measuring tools to check dimensions and surface finishes
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report equipment issues
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and targets

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Grinding Hand, Metal Finisher, or similar manufacturing role
• Experience using grinders, linishers, and other finishing equipment
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
• Able to lift and move materials as required

Work Environment

• Manufacturing or fabrication workshop
• Exposure to noise, metal dust, sparks, and machinery
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required

What’s On Offer

• Hourly rate depends on skill + Super
• 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
