Our Client is currently seeking a Farm Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our breeder farm located in Cobbitty. If you’re reliable, hands-on, and looking for a stable role in a growing agricultural business, we’d love to hear from you!
About the Role:
As a Farm Hand, you will play an important role in maintaining quality egg production while ensuring a clean and safe work environment. You’ll be working closely with our Farm Manager and team to ensure smooth operations across egg collection, grading, sanitation, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily operation of the egg room and cool room.
- Collect eggs from laying sheds and ensure they’re cleaned and graded according to standards.
- Maintain accurate records for egg production and reporting.
- Uphold hygiene and sanitation procedures, ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize egg handling equipment, egg sorting room, and egg holding room as required.
- Support and follow Pepe’s Ducks WHS and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and farm managers.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance programs.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Farm Manager.
About You:
- Previous farm, agriculture, or hands-on experience preferred (but not essential).
- Willing to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
