Our client, a leading electrical engineering, contracting, and switchboard manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Draftsperson to join their growing team.
Specialising in industrial installations across the food, beverage, and petrochemical sectors, this role offers the chance to contribute to high-quality projects.
You will be working closely with the workshop and field teams to deliver quality electrical drafting and be responsible for making sure the projects meet technical requirements.
As a valued member of a small, supportive team, you will have the opportunity to contribute across different areas of project delivery and influence the development of their design practices
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate electrical schematics, termination diagrams, and GA drawings
- Coordinate design development with the team and workshop supervisor
- Apply switchboard knowledge to create practical, constructible layouts
- Collaborate with a supportive team to manage design documentation, maintain quality standards, and deliver successful projects.
- Liaise effectively with staff and clients to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Provide hands on assistance to switchboard and construction teams in the workshop or onsite when extra support is needed.
- Step into varied responsibilities as needed, helping a growing business run smoothly while ensuring project success.
What are we looking for:
- Strong proficiency and Experience in AutoCAD
- Strong Knowledge in AS3000
- Previous experience in electrical design/drafting, amendments for compliance
- Experience building and assembling switchboards
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to communicate with electrical Staff
- Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics
- Self-starters who can create and manage their own workload effectively.
- Good command of English is a must for liaising with clients.
