Accounts Officer (Casual Basis)

About the client:

Our client, based in Frenchs Forest, is one of the largest not-for-profit, community-led organisations supporting participants in both Aged Care and the NDIS.

About the role:

  • Position:Accounts Officer, Casual
  • Duration:Full-time temporary role for the month of April 2024 (38 hours per week) with a potential extension.
  • Work Arrangement:3 days in the office and 2 days working from home (WFH)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. AP/AR Processing:
    • Handle a high volume of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions efficiently.
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing financial transactions.
  2. Excel Proficiency:
    • Utilise Excel functions effectively to analyse and report on large volumes of data.
    • Proficient in pivot tables, conditional formatting, and Power BI.

Highly Regarded Experience:

  • Aged Care Sector (CHSP and HCP Programs):
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with demonstrated understanding of aged care sector.
    • Knowledge of CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Program) and HCP (Home Care Packages).
  • NDIS Sector:
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with demonstrated understanding of NDIS billing processes.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Cost Center/Departmental Expenses:
    • Familiarity with managing cost centers and departmental expenses.
  • Willingness to Learn:
    • Openness to understanding the NDIS sector (if not already familiar).
    • Interest in gaining knowledge of the Aged Care Sector.
  • Payroll Backup:
    • Willingness to learn and assist as a backup for our Payroll Specialist during her leave.
  • Professional Development:
    • Keen interest in personal growth and development within the Finance team.
